I work from my home studio in Sussex but have a client list that stretches from South East London all the way down to the Sussex Coast.
With over 14 years running my small business, as well as a background and passion for textile design, I’m committed to helping you add the finishing touches to your home.
I grew up in Somerset, which explains the name of my business! And after college, went on to study Textile Design in Nottingham specialising in weave. I have a passion (okay, some might call it an obsession) with textiles in all shapes and forms.

I offer a bespoke, one-to-one service to help you make your vision a reality. And I never outsource to maintain complete control over the quality of the finished product. Plus, you’ll always be dealing direct with me, so we can share ideas, timings and progress.

We’ve never had bespoke curtains or blinds made before, having always used the well-known brands and assuming it cheaper, but going bespoke was the best decision for quality, knowledge, flexibility and creativity. We ended up with more than we could have hoped for, including creative use of off cuts to make cushion covers, dyed beautifully, and a table runner. We have also had help adjusting our curtains for a new track system and are about to work with Mel again on new projects.

A selection of wall hangings and cushions made by hand in my Sussex studio. I use natural linens and try to recycle and reuse fabrics where I can. I predominately use block printing and improv patchwork techniques that I’ve learnt from various local craft classes.
My work ranges from the formality of grids based on photos and sketches taken in London, to the natural botanical works based on studies of nature in my own back garden and surrounding countryside. Please contact me directly for prices and more detail.
